There is a major time commitment involved in homeschooling for families. When a parent decides to home school their children it eliminates much of the parent’s time. To home school the parent must devise lesson plans and teach their kids. In homeschooling, you [the parent] have to be the teacher. You have to supervise lessons and check their progress. (Jeremy 1) Schooling involves activities and hands-on-activities. Many families who home school usually choose hands-on activities which usually take longer than regular class activities.
